The same counseling, from wherever you are in Texas.
Online sessions are 60-minute virtual appointments by secure video, with the same counselors who work in our three offices. The fees, the matching and the Reset Guarantee are the same too.
Anywhere in Texas
Join from home, from work or anywhere private, as long as you are in Texas at the time of the session. Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio or a small town: the counselors and fees are the same.
What you need
A phone, tablet or computer with a camera, a steady internet connection, and somewhere you can talk without being overheard. Headphones help if you share your home.
In person when you want it
Every counselor also sees clients in person, at our offices in Houston-Willowbrook, The Woodlands or Katy. If you live near one, you can see the same counselor in the office some weeks and by video on others.
Support for what has been weighing on you.
People begin counseling for many reasons. You do not need to arrive with a diagnosis or a perfect explanation.
Start with what has been difficult, and our team can help you explore an appropriate clinician match.

Contact our teamWho can use online counseling?
Adults who are in Texas at the time of each session, because our counselors are licensed in Texas. Whether video suits you depends on your needs, and our team will talk that through with you.
Is online counseling different from meeting in person?
The counselor, the approach and the 60-minute session are the same. What changes is the room: you choose a private space, and a weak connection can interrupt a session.
Do you accept insurance for telehealth?
We currently work with the twelve plans listed above, including Aetna, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Texas, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna and Original Medicare. Coverage for video sessions varies by plan and counselor, so we verify your benefits and share an estimated copay or estimated out-of-pocket cost before you begin.
How is privacy handled in telehealth?
Sessions take place through the practice’s secure telehealth system. Choose a private space when possible, and review our privacy policy for information about how the practice handles personal information.
What if my first counselor is not the right fit?
If the fit is wrong, tell us and we will match you with a different counselor. Your first session with them is free.
Do you prescribe medication?
No. Acceptance Path is a counseling practice, and if you see a prescriber, counseling can run alongside that.
