Terms of Use
These terms explain how you may use acceptancepath.com, and what this website is and is not. Please read them with our Privacy Policy and SMS Terms.
Effective October 4, 2026
About these terms
acceptancepath.com (the "Site") is operated by Liberated Minds TX Counseling PLLC, doing business as Acceptance Path Counseling ("we," "us" or "our"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms of Use.
If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Information, not treatment
Everything on the Site, including articles, videos, guides, quizzes, challenges and emails, is for general education. It is not medical or mental health advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Reading the Site, taking a quiz or contacting us does not make you a client. It does not create a counselor and client relationship.
Becoming a client
A counseling relationship begins only after you schedule services, review our practice policies and sign our informed consent documents. Until then, no clinical relationship exists between you and Acceptance Path Counseling or any of our counselors.
Once you are a client, your care is governed by those signed documents. Your health information is protected by HIPAA and Texas law, as our Privacy Policy explains.
Client portal and accounts
Some services, such as our client portal, require an account. Please give accurate information and keep your login details private.
You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us right away at info@acceptancepath.com if you think someone else has used it.
Texts and email
If you agree to receive text messages from us, our SMS Terms apply to them. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out.
Email and standard text messages are not fully secure, so please keep clinical details out of them. Never use them for an emergency.
What you send us
Please do not put detailed health information in our contact form. Your name, a way to reach you and a short note are all we need to help you get started.
We will discuss anything more personal with you directly and privately.
Acceptable use
Please use the Site lawfully and respectfully. In particular:
- Do not try to access accounts, systems or data that are not yours.
- Do not interfere with the Site, its security or other visitors.
- Do not copy or scrape the Site's content for commercial use without our written permission.
Our content
The text, graphics, logos, illustrations and other content on the Site belong to us or to our licensors. You may view and share our pages for personal, non-commercial use.
Any other use requires our written permission.
Other websites and services
The Site links to and uses services run by other companies, such as scheduling, payment, maps and video tools. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to them.
We are not responsible for the content or practices of websites and services we do not control.
Disclaimer
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We do not promise that the Site will be error-free or always available.
Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. This includes lost data and losses caused by services we do not control.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have as a client under the law or under your signed agreements with us.
Ending access
We may suspend or end access to any part of the Site at any time. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as ownership, disclaimers and limits of liability, will continue after access ends.
Governing law
Texas law governs these terms, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute about the Site will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
If a change is significant, we will post a notice on the Site before it takes effect.
